The Gilgel Gibe II is a new hydroelectric power project being executed under EPC type of Contract based on a scheme that conveys water, regulated by the GilGel Gibe I hydroelectric power plant, to the Omo River to exploit the large geodetic head that exists between the two rivers.
Tekeze
The Ethiopian Electric power corporation constructed the Tekeze hydro electric power plant as part of the Country’s general development plan with the aim of expanding the electric power generation capacity.
